Who ARE These People?

As actors and theatre makers, we are in the business of pulling creations into time and space.  The ideas/stories/characters may initially reside on a page provided by an author or playwright or screenwriter or be generated in the very process of devised theatre. But until we add our own performance magic to the mix, they remain in the unseen, in the realm of thought.

We do more than just convert a character, though, because every time an actor expresses that thought, the character changes. We cannot be, even if we wanted to be, a neutral channel. Our own ideas, experiences, interpretations, and the ever-changing context in which we perform all blend with the initial idea to create something – new. Expanding the universe further every single time.
